Machining Capabilities
What we machine, on which class of machine, and what we need from you before we can confirm a tolerance. Every process below is listed separately because the limits are not the same.
Process Capability Matrix
Each process is listed separately. Machine capacity is the machine's own limit; the part envelope is what we can actually hold and cut, and it depends on the fixturing and tool access for your part. Tolerances are not quoted as one blanket figure — read “Tolerance and acceptance” below, and see the Equipment Inventory for machine-by-machine models, quantities and axis configuration.
| Process | Machine capacity | Part envelope | Main equipment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Swiss-type turning (sliding headstock) | Bar stock Φ20 – Φ42 mm, machine-specific | Set by bar feed, guide bushing and part length — confirmed at the DFM review | Citizen A20 / A20-3FTNP, Citizen and Miyano BNA / BNC series, Tsugami BO203 / BO205 / BO206 / BO326, Tsugami S205A / S206A / M08-J-II |
| Fixed-head CNC turning (chucking) | Chucking diameter up to Φ245 mm, machine-specific | Set by chuck, jaws and swing — confirmed at the DFM review | Okuma LB2000EXII, Takisawa LA-150 / LA-200 / EX308 / NEX-108, Doosan LYNX 220Y / LYNX2105LYB / PUMA 2450 / PUMA 3050, Mazak QSM100ML |
| Machining centres (3-axis milling) | Machine travel 500×450×380 – 850×500×420 mm | Smaller than the machine travel — depends on the fixture and tool access, confirmed at the DFM review | Brother S500 / S700 series, Taike TK-HV1165 |
| 4-axis and 3+2 positioned machining | Machine travel as the 3-axis row | Indexed or positioned features on several faces — confirmed at the DFM review | Brother S700Z1 / S700Z2N (4th axis), Haas VF-233-V |
| Simultaneous 5-axis machining | Machine travel up to 850×500×420 mm | Contoured and multi-face features in one set-up — confirmed at the DFM review | Haas VF-233-V, Brother S500Z2N, Taike TK-V8 / TK-T6 |
| Mill-turn | Per drawing | Turning and milling in one set-up — confirmed at the DFM review | Doosan LYNX series with Y-axis / live tooling; Citizen BNA-42SY5 |
Tolerance and acceptance
Tolerances are reviewed against the drawing, material, geometry and inspection requirements. Critical features and acceptance criteria are confirmed before production.
- Where a tolerance cannot be held on the specified process or material, we raise it during the DFM review instead of quoting a blanket figure assumed to apply to every part, material and batch.
- The machine accuracy listed in the Equipment Inventory is the machine's own specification. It is not the tolerance achievable on a finished part.
- Any tolerance capability we state refers to a specific feature, on a specific material, by a specific process, under the inspection conditions agreed for that project.
Axis configuration
3-axis, 4-axis indexing, 3+2 positioning and simultaneous 5-axis are not interchangeable. The configuration is stated for each machine in the Equipment Inventory. Tell us which configuration your part needs, and we confirm the machine and the set-up at the DFM review.
Materials we machine
- Aluminum alloys
- Stainless steel (304 / 316L)
- Copper alloys
- Engineering plastics
The material grade is confirmed against your drawing or specification before production. Cast blanks are supplied material, not a material we stock — see “Outsourced processes”.
In-house processes
- Swiss-type turning and fixed-head turning
- 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis milling
- Mill-turn
- CNC programming and fixture set-up
- Deburring and secondary operations
- Dimensional inspection on our own CMM
These operations are planned, programmed and inspected in our own shop.
Outsourced processes
- Anodizing
- Plating
- Chemical Nickel
- Black Oxide
- Alodine
- Passivating
- DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon)
- Powder Coating
- Heat treatment
- Cast blanks (gravity / investment casting)
Arranged through long-term local specialist partners. Process specification and inspection requirements are reviewed for each project. Responsibility boundary: for cast blanks the blank is supplied by you or by an external foundry — WINTEC carries out the machining operations performed in-house.
Inspection
- Dual Zeiss CMM
- Vision measuring, projectors
- Roughness tester, altimeter, Rockwell hardness tester
- ISO 9001:2015 quality management system
How first-article, in-process and final inspection are planned is described on the Quality page.

About this list
Applications listed above reflect parts we have supplied. Listing an industry does not mean we hold that industry's dedicated certification — we do not hold AS9100, ISO 13485 or IATF 16949. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
Supporting Services
- DFM review of incoming drawings
- Small-to-medium batch production
- Bilingual technical communication
- International shipping (DHL / FedEx / air / sea)
Send us your drawing — we reply within 24 hours
Upload requirements by email or the inquiry form — our engineering team reviews manufacturability (DFM) before quoting.
A formal quotation follows the engineering review and depends on the drawing, material, quantity and any outsourced processes. Complex parts, outsourced finishing or requests received outside our working hours may take longer.
